La Beauté Louis Vuitton
After much anticipation, the long-awaited Louis Vuitton beauty brand is finally available on the market. Since the announcement of its launch, the collection has been the subject of much discussion in the beauty world. The brand held its global debut on August 25, 2025.
It took 170 years for the maison to introduce La Beauté Louis Vuitton, under the creative direction of Dame Pat McGrath. An icon in the beauty universe and already established with her own line, McGrath now leads this successful collaboration, which includes: 55 lipsticks (matte and satin), 10 tinted lip balms, and 8 eyeshadow palettes.
The formulas are enriched with premium ingredients such as shea butter and hyaluronic acid, promising comfort, long-lasting wear, and a luxurious texture. The packaging reflects the maison’s high-luxury codes: refillable design, refined finishing details, and an aesthetic inspired by Louis Vuitton’s iconic symbols (the Monogram and the heritage trunks).
The collection has also generated considerable buzz, not only for its quality but also for its steep prices: each lipstick is priced around $160, while palettes reach $250. Behind these numbers, however, Louis Vuitton reinforces a clear ultra-luxury positioning, targeting an audience that already embraces the maison’s exclusivity and visibility.
Public criticism goes beyond pricing: some question whether the quality truly justifies the cost, or if the appeal is more about status than product. On the other hand, many trust in the creative signature of Pat McGrath, a name already firmly established in the makeup industry.
“After working backstage at Louis Vuitton shows for over 20 years, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation,” says McGrath.
La Beauté Louis Vuitton emerges with a different proposal from McGrath’s own line: more than makeup, it represents the opportunity to “buy into” a piece of the luxury maison a strategy already proven successful for historic houses like Chanel and Dior.
This is not Louis Vuitton’s first step into the beauty world
its collection of fine fragrances has already secured a loyal following and is positioned among the most exclusive offerings in the fashion fragrance market.
