University of Salford MA Catwalk at London Fashion Week
This February, during London Fashion Week, MA Fashion Design graduates from the University of Salford stepped onto the runway with collections that felt both personal and forward-thinking.
The showcase brought together a new generation of designers whose work balances experimentation with skill. Each collection carried a distinct identity - some rooted in intricate handcrafted techniques, others shaped by contemporary processes influenced by conversations around sustainability, technology, and social change. What united them was a clear sense of intention.
At Salford, the MA programme encourages students to question, research, and refine. That approach was visible on the catwalk: garments were thoughtful in construction, considered in concept, and confident in execution. Beyond aesthetics, there was depth: ideas translated into form with clarity and care.
The graduates presented more than final collections; they revealed emerging design voices ready to engage with the realities of today’s fashion landscape. With strong technical foundations, industry awareness, and an entrepreneurial mindset, they step forward prepared not just to enter the industry, but to contribute to its ongoing evolution.
In a season defined by reflection and change, the University of Salford’s MA designers offered something refreshing - fashion that feels purposeful, personal, and ready for what comes next.
