The Ivy: The Art of Making Every Visit Special

For me, some of the best memories are created around a table. A long lunch with family, dinner with friends, children discovering something new, or simply finding a reason to make an ordinary day feel a little more special.

And that is something The Ivy understands very well.

I have visited both The Ivy Collection and The Ivy Asia on many different occasions, sometimes with family, sometimes with friends, and what I love most is that no two visits ever feel exactly the same. Each restaurant has its own personality, but there is always that unmistakable Ivy signature: beautiful surroundings, attentive service and a constant ability to surprise.

This summer brings two very good reasons to return.

At The Ivy Collection, the new Golden Summer Menu celebrates everything I personally love about summer dining: taking your time, sharing food and enjoying those precious moments with the people around you. The menu draws on Mediterranean and European flavours, with dishes including Golden Fried Calamari, Chicken Escalope, Cypriot Halloumi and the Mediterranean Gold dessert with coconut, passion fruit and mango.

What I particularly loved was the idea behind it. Being married to a Brit, I have come to appreciate even more how important these lunches and dinners can be in the middle of busy family life. You do not always need to travel to feel a sense of escape. Sometimes a beautiful table, good food and the people you love are enough.

At The Ivy Asia, the experience feels completely different.

The new Experience Menu takes guests on a journey through Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, with dishes designed for sharing, including Rainbow Rolls, Spicy Salmon Laab, King Prawn Laksa, Black Cod Miso and Ube Doughnuts.

That sense of discovery is what makes the experience so enjoyable, especially when shared with family.

The drinks are part of the ritual too. There are destination inspired cocktails, but also beautifully presented mocktails and alcohol free options, meaning everyone at the table can still enjoy something special. I particularly appreciate that attention to detail, because ordering a beautiful drink should never be limited to alcohol.

Perhaps that is exactly what keeps bringing me back.

The Ivy does not simply offer a meal. With every season, it finds a new way to make you want to return, whether for a weekday lunch, a family weekend or an evening with friends.

Every restaurant feels different. Every visit brings something new.

But that little touch of Ivy magic is always there.
