With the countdown on for this year’s The World’s 50 Best Bars ceremony in Hong Kong, the organisers have unveiled the extended list of bars ranked No.51 to No.100. Sponsored by Perrier, this annual reveal has become a tradition in its own right, offering a glimpse into the global talent shaping cocktail culture before the grand announcement of the Top 50 on 8 October 2025.
Now in its ninth year, the 51–100 ranking is created from the votes of over 800 experts worldwide, from acclaimed bartenders and educators to respected cocktail writers and industry authorities. More than just numbers, the extended list highlights emerging destinations, new creative forces, and the ever-evolving tastes of the international bar scene.
Global Diversity, Shared Excellence
The 2025 list reflects an unprecedented geographical spread, featuring bars across 34 cities and welcoming 16 new entries. From São Paulo to San Francisco, Barcelona to New Delhi, the selection underscores how cocktail culture continues to expand across continents, while also introducing two cities for the very first time: Taichung (Taiwan) and Medellín (Colombia).
The United States once again leads the extended list with eight entries across five cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and Chicago. Europe, however, shines brightest overall with 15 bars featured, four of them from Spain and four from Italy. Asia secures 12 spots, with Hong Kong stepping into the spotlight as the regional leader for the first time since 2019.
