Brunching in Style at Harry's

I can hardly believe that, after all my years in London, I had not yet visited Harry’s. It is one of those places that is spoken about so often, always with a certain admiration, and yet I had simply never got around to trying it. As someone with a real fondness for Italian cuisine, I felt it was rather overdue.

I finally put that right with a relaxed Sunday brunch at their Marylebone location, one of five Harry’s restaurants across the city. From the moment I arrived, there was an easy elegance about the setting, refined yet welcoming, with an atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.

To start, I chose the truffle arancini. A classic, certainly, but when done properly, it is difficult to fault. Crisp on the outside and wonderfully rich in the centre, it was exactly what I had hoped for.

For the main course, I went for the pollo Milanese, served with a fresh rocket salad, datterini tomatoes, a vibrant green pesto dip, and a generous helping of parmesan. It was light yet satisfying, allowing the flavours to speak for themselves.

I would also highly recommend the Steak & Egg. A beautifully chargrilled steak topped with a fried egg, accompanied by hollandaise sauce and rosemary chips, it is a dish that feels both indulgent and comforting, and certainly worth ordering.

To finish, I opted for the classic profiteroles. Decadent and perfectly executed, they made for a fitting end to the meal.

Everything was thoroughly enjoyable, from the food to the drinks. What stood out just as much was the service; the staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience all the more pleasant.

All in all, Harry’s is a place I would absolutely recommend. A charming and memorable dining experience, and one I look forward to repeating.
