Chelsea in Bloom 2026 brings an “Out of This World” floral spectacle to London, with The Ivy Chelsea Garden once again at the centre of it all
Every spring, Chelsea transforms into one of London’s most creative and visually captivating destinations with the arrival of Chelsea in Bloom, the city’s largest free floral festival. Created in 2006 as an extension of the world renowned RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the event has become a true celebration of art, fashion, hospitality and floral design, attracting thousands of visitors to the streets of Chelsea every year.
For 2026, the festival embraces the theme “Out of This World”, turning the neighbourhood into an immersive cosmic wonderland inspired by space travel, astrology and celestial symbolism. Across Chelsea, visitors can discover spectacular large scale floral installations including zodiac inspired constellations in Sloane Square, UFO inspired displays above Pavilion Road, lunar landscapes, mythological creatures and even a giant floral globe honouring Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday.
And once again, The Ivy Chelsea Garden stands out as one of the festival’s most talked about destinations.
Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending the exclusive presentation of the restaurant’s new Chelsea in Bloom experience, including its seasonal menu and extraordinary floral installation created in collaboration with floral design studio PHOHM.
This year, The Ivy Chelsea Garden embraced the “Out of This World” concept with a fully immersive intergalactic display featuring astronauts, moons, aliens and an impressive giant Saturn sculpture, transforming the restaurant’s iconic façade into one of the most photographed locations of the festival.

The installation beautifully captures the playful yet sophisticated spirit of Chelsea in Bloom while reflecting The Ivy’s unmistakable identity, vibrant, elegant and welcoming. The restaurant’s garden atmosphere feels especially magical during this time of year, with flowers, colour and creativity completely taking over the space.
Alongside the visual experience, guests were also introduced to a specially curated seasonal menu celebrating spring flavours, complemented by drinks in partnership with Fever Tree, perfectly matching the lively atmosphere surrounding the festival.

Located beside the restaurant is also The Ivy Asia Chelsea.
More than simply a floral event, Chelsea in Bloom has become one of London’s defining spring traditions, bringing together creativity, design, gastronomy and immersive experiences throughout the neighbourhood. And once again, The Ivy Chelsea Garden proves why it remains one of Chelsea’s most iconic and desirable destinations during the season.
