There are restaurants you enjoy, and then there are the ones that immediately make you want to return. The Broadcaster, located within the iconic Television Centre in White City, has firmly placed itself in the second category for me.

It has quickly become one of my favourite restaurants in London, not only because of its food, but because of the whole experience. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere is vibrant, the interiors are stylish, and there are some seriously goodviews across West London.

Although I had visited The Broadcaster before, this time I finally had lunch at their rooftop, and I honestly regretted not going up there sooner. It is effortlessly cool, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. Whether you're joining for lunch, catching up with friends over drinks or heading there for an evening out, the rooftop is a brilliant addition to the experience.

Every Thursday from 6–10 pm, the rooftop also hosts a DJ set, and the music was so good. It adds just the right amount of energy without taking away from the relaxed feel of the space. I can already imagine this becoming a regular spot for after-work drinks and evenings that start casually and somehow turn into much longer nights.

The food is another reason I keep wanting to go back. The Broadcaster manages to cater to different tastes, with a menu that combines comforting favourites with more refined and creative dishes. There is plenty of choice, whether you're looking for something light, indulgent, traditional or plant-forward.

To start, I ordered the St Ives Crab on Toast with chopped egg salad, and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh, delicate and full of flavour, it was the perfect beginning to the meal.

For my main course, I chose the 32-day Aged Beef Burger, topped with Red Leicester and Bloody Mary ketchup and served with fries. It was exactly what I wanted for a relaxed lunch: juicy, generous and incredibly satisfying. The kind of burger that makes you want to return just to have it again.

I would also definitely recommend the traditional fish and chips. Sometimes you simply want a classic, and this is a very good one.

There are plenty of other dishes that caught my attention too, including the Yellowfin Crudo with crispy potato and gochujang aioli, the Pan-Roasted Shetland Salmon with sea vegetables, charred corn and calamansi, and the Fennel Risotto with cauliflower, girolles and shaved summer truffles. The Cornish Mussels with Suffolk cider and tarragon, served with garlic loaf, are another tempting option, particularly if you're looking for something to share.

And then came dessert. The Chocolate Marquise with coffee, tequila and raspberries was rich, indulgent and absolutely delicious. The raspberries added a lovely freshness to the chocolate, while the coffee and tequila brought an unexpected depth of flavour. Definitely one to leave room for.

The drinks deserve a mention of their own. The cocktail menu is incredibly good, with some really interesting combinations. The Orchard Collins, made with Sapling Gin, pear liqueur, apple and soda, sounds wonderfully refreshing, while the Electric Passion combines Sapling Vodka with passionfruit, pineapple and vanilla for something more tropical. For those who prefer a little more intensity, the Smoked & Spiced brings together Olmeca Altos Tequila, mezcal, lime and chilli.

There is also The Broadcaster's own Tinted Glasses Rosé by Château Saint-Maur, a Provence rosé that pairs beautifully with the food and the relaxed setting.

What I love most about The Broadcaster is that it doesn't feel like a place you visit for just one reason. You can come for the food, the cocktails, the rooftop, the music or simply the atmosphere and each element works together.

It's incredibly well located, has a great energy and offers the kind of experience that makes you want to stay longer than planned. For me, it has become one of those restaurants where, before I've even left, I'm already thinking about what I'll order the next time I come back.
