A Little Manhattan, Made for the Wrist
Venezianico launches the Redentore Two Harbors on 26 October: an edition of 800 pieces with New York sculpted into its dial.
Some gifts reveal something about the person receiving them. A watch featuring the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline has a few obvious recipients: someone with fond memories of New York, plans to return, or a lasting fascination with the city.
Venezianico’s new Redentore Two Harbors gives that idea an intriguing setting. Created with American watch publication Worn & Wound, it connects New York with the Italian brand’s Venetian roots in a limited edition of just 800 individually numbered pieces.
Venezianico returns to Avesso’s pages with a particularly compelling dial. Its brass base carries a printed image with a deliberately visible grain, recalling twentieth-century American photographs and magazines. Above it, the buildings and Statue of Liberty rise in relief, finished in aged, burnished silver plating.
The appeal lies in the contrast: the printed texture lends atmosphere, while the metal adds depth. Within a recessed, off-centre opening, brushed mother-of-pearl displays the hours and minutes, introducing subtle changes of light across the composition.
Deep blues and warmer shades suggest the crossing between Venice and Manhattan. An Italian leather strap balances the expressive dial, while a 40 mm steel case, sapphire crystal and NH05A automatic movement complete the watch.
It will be presented at New York’s Windup Watch Fair from 16 to 18 October, ahead of its official launch on 26 October 2026, priced at €850 or US$975.
For anyone celebrating a birthday on 26 October, the timing offers a welcome excuse to update their wish list. For the gift giver, its appeal is more personal: a watch that carries a reminder of a city with a place in someone’s story.
