“Pyjama boys” for Dolce & Gabbana SS26.

Dolce & Gabbana presented their Spring/Summer 2026 collection titled “Pyjama Boys” at Men’s Milan Fashion Week, with a clear message: the rules of traditional tailoring are being rewritten.

Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana sent their models down the runway in pyjamas sets made of cotton and sheer fabrics.  Stripes were layered over stripes or leopard print, delicate embroideries adding texture and luxurious touches, pyjama-inspired silhouettes and soft neutrals - a palette that sparked early morning light and lazy summer days looking undone. The collection flirted with imperfection, where even the un-ironed pieces felt intentional.

The fashion show soundtrack blended opera and film scores layering the show in drama.

Responding to the changing codes of modern style, the designers also embrace the concept of “waist-up dressing”, a legacy born during the pandemic when remote work and video calls rewrote the rules of home office style. A neat shirt on top, sweatpants or pyjamas underneath - a modern uniform for the Zoom era: tailored up top, comfort down below.

A visible reflection of our changing relationship with dressing and appearances.

Accessories delivered a quiet impact: delicate chains added a touch of refinement, statement sunglasses drew attention, and slippers brought together home comfort and city style.

Havaianas collaborated with an exclusive flip-flop model made entirely of soft faux fur, in two statement colours: black and caramel exclusively for the SS26 fashion show - a luxurious wink to casual wear. Meanwhile, maxi bags were a true display of style and functionality. They captured the relaxed yet sophisticated spirit of the “Pyjama Boys” aesthetic, elevating the relaxed looks with quiet elegance.

The peek of boxers above waistbands, wearing socks with sandals, mixing prints that traditionally clash - these weren’t styling mistakes - it was a calculated fashion statement that adds personality or unexpected flair to an outfit. They are intentional touches that break the rules just enough to make a look feel fresh or a little rebellious like Dolce & Gabbana’s DNA.

Many celebrities, including  Theo James, Lucien Laviscount, Michele Morrone, and Jung Hae-In, graced the front row.

Theo James, for instance, is now the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s new Light Blue fragrance campaign.

Above all, Dolce & Gabbana’s “Pyjama Boys” collection strides confidently into new territory, where comfort and sophistication share the spotlight. More than just clothing, this collection reflects a modern state of mind that values ease without abandoning elegance. Whether you’re daring enough to wear loungewear as streetwear or simply drawn to inventive tailoring. Furthermore, it isn’t about dressing down, it’s about dressing true, bold, a hint of style and not being afraid to have fun along the way.

Without a doubt it is time for us to rethink how we dress. Are you ready to let your boxers peek out - or rock socks with sandals?
