AADNEVIK – Marie Antoinette

London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2026

Once again, it was a pleasure to attend one of the most anticipated Sunday evening shows during London Fashion Week. Traditionally presented at The Royal Horseguards Hotel, the latest collection by Hila and Kristian Aadnevik invited the audience into a world of beauty, sensuality and artistry inspired by Marie Antoinette.

The collection honoured the French queen’s dual nature, portraying her as powerful yet fragile, extravagant yet innocent. Every piece reflected this delicate balance between structure and softness, showing Aadnevik’s mastery of feminine allure and poetic refinement.

Corsets sculpted the silhouette with precision, while layers of chiffon and tulle floated gracefully, capturing the lightness and romance of Versailles. Sheer lace revealed the skin with subtle elegance, never provocative but deeply sensual, turning vulnerability into a statement of confidence.

Among the most captivating creations was a pale blue gown adorned with hand sewn floral details, reminiscent of the gardens of the Petit Trianon. Another look, in soft bronze tones, flowed with quiet sensuality and floral appliqués at the waist, while a black lace gown shimmering with crystals brought a touch of drama, evoking the darker chapters of the queen’s destiny.

The beauty concept by Laura Mercier and the hairstyling by Toni and Guy, directed by Cos Sakkas, completed the vision with theatrical finesse. Models appeared like porcelain figures, with softly blushed cheeks and hair adorned with tiny flowers, creating an image that seemed to step out of an eighteenth century painting.

With its blend of romance, rebellion and craftsmanship, Aadnevik’s Marie Antoinette collection transcended fashion and became a living expression of art. Each detail whispered a story of beauty, freedom and power, reaffirming why Aadnevik continues to be one of the most enchanting names in London’s fashion landscape.
